a photo of me

i'm deepak. i build things, i break things, and mostly i'm just curious about how stuff works under the hood.

these days i'm learning rust and c++ — pointers, memory, the borrow checker, all of it. slow going, but i like it.

not much of a plan beyond that. keep learning, keep building, see where it goes.

the longer story

i've always been the kind of person who gets curious about things and ends up going a little too deep. started with frontend, got interested in what happens behind the scenes, and eventually found myself exploring backend, systems, ai and pretty much anything that catches my attention. i like building things, trying out ideas, and figuring out how stuff works.

random.

these days, you'll probably find me coding, working on some random project, or falling into a new tech rabbit hole. i enjoy the process of making things, even when it means breaking them a few times first. still exploring, still learning, and hopefully building some cool stuff along the way.

a rough plan

nowlearning rust and c++, building small things, writing it down.
soongo deeper on systems. finish more than i start.
laterno idea, honestly. hopefully still curious.

what's on repeat while i build

The New Abnormal

the playlist that only exists between 1 and 4am.

CINEMA(The Marías)

one ambient track on loop until the bug is dead.

something close to me

all the music i ever needed.

a few things that are true about me: i will re-explain a system design out loud to no one until it's simple. i think the best debugging tool is a walk. i genuinely believe self-hosting is a personality trait.

the meaning of it, as far as i can tell, is to build things that outlast the mood you built them in — and to write down the mood anyway.
